Our vessels are permanently mobilized with basic surveying equipment and ready for additional sensors to meet project requirements. We have experience with many sensing technologies and manual measuring methods. This diverse experience enables us to provide multiple approaches when developing the survey plan.
Inshore Bays and Estuaries
The "Zella" is a 30 ft retired shrimp trawler that has worked the inland bays for many years. She is a flat-bottom wood hull trawler with a very low magnetic signature. Oversize stabilizers greatly reduce roll and enable us to acquire high resolution data in less than optimum conditions.
Shallow draft skiffs are used for most detail work.
Nearshore Gulf of Mexico and its Inlets
The “Lora Kate”, a 25 ft Parker Pilothouse, can be transported by trailer to projects along the coast. She is fast and maneuverable when transit time is critical.
Surf Zone and Transition Zone
Personal watercraft, kayaks, sleds and small skiffs are utilized for this sensitive and troublesome area.
Offshore Gulf of Mexico
The "Santa Rosa" is a 105 ft offshore crew boat. Naismith Marine has an agreement with Underwater Services, Inc. to utilize the Santa Rosa for Hurricane Response and combination survey/diving projects.
